Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of recapeditor.app and RECAP's early-access waitlist (together, the "Site"). By using the Site or joining the waitlist, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Site.

About the service

RECAP is a video editing assistant in early development — development has just started, and no product exists yet. The Site itself is a marketing and information resource used to gauge interest and gather feedback from creators. It does not host, store, or process video footage, and it does not currently provide the RECAP product itself. Joining the waitlist expresses interest and helps us reach you as the product develops; it is not a purchase, subscription, or guarantee of future access.

Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old, or the age of digital consent in your jurisdiction if higher, to use the Site or join the waitlist.

The early-access waitlist

• Joining the waitlist does not guarantee that you'll receive access to RECAP, or that access will be offered on any particular timeline — RECAP does not exist yet, and its features, timeline, and availability may change substantially during development.
• Pricing has not been finalized. Nothing on this Site is a binding price quote or offer.
• If you opt in when joining the waitlist, we may contact you for a short interview about your workflow. This is optional, unrelated to whether you receive early access, and can be withdrawn at any time by contacting us.
• If and when access is granted, additional terms specific to using the product may apply at that time.
• We may modify, pause, or discontinue the waitlist or development of the product at any time.

Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the Site — including attempting to gain unauthorized access to it, interfering with its normal operation, scraping it at scale, or using it for any unlawful purpose.

Intellectual property

The Site, including its text, design, and the RECAP name and wordmark, is owned by RECAP or its licensors. You may not copy, reproduce, or create derivative works from the Site except as necessary for ordinary, personal use of it (for example, reading an article or filling out the waitlist form).

Third-party links

The Site may link to third-party sites we don't control. We aren't responsible for the content or practices of those sites.

Disclaimer of warranties

The Site is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We don't guarantee the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, and we make no representations about the future availability, features, or pricing of the RECAP product.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, RECAP will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Site, or from participation in the waitlist.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the product and Site evolve. We'll update the date at the top of this page when we do. Continued use of the Site after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

Termination

We may remove you from the waitlist or restrict access to the Site at any time, particularly in cases of misuse.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which RECAP operates, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
